Accredited Aussie Hosts - Doug & Liz
After 40 years of community service and private and public employment, we searched Australia from the Torres Strait to Tasmania for 10 years before discovering our piece of paradise at Swanfels Valley, Yangan.
We seized the opportunity to start living a lifestyle at a different pace ... and decided to share good old fashioned hospitality.
From here R on the Downs Rural Retreat was born offering traditional hosted bed and breakfast and self-contained cottages.
We cater to all adults seeking an affordable luxury retreat from the hectic everyday world.
